Andoni Cossio is Assistant Professor of English at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). He is also Research Affiliate at the Centre for Fantasy and the Fantastic, University of Glasgow, and has recently been elected to a Visiting Fellowship at St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. His writing on Middle English works, William Shakespeare, C. S. Lewis, and mostly J. R. R. Tolkien has been published in indexed journals and in peer-reviewed edited collections of essays. Cossio is currently finishing a monograph on the trees of Middle-earth while preparing, in collaboration with Nelson Goering, an edition of one of Tolkien’s unpublished translations. He is, together with Dimitra Fimi, the recipient of The Tolkien Society’s Best Article Award (2025).
